Over 900 hundred arrested after angry G20 protesters scuffled with police at several locations in Toronto last week. Canada spent a massive 1 billion dollars on summit security, with a fenced area created in the heart of the city.
Police Kidnap Citzens of Toronto for 3-5 hours. In downtown Toronto China Town Police surround an area that a few peaceful protestors are in and with in minutes allow no one in or out. Shopers, students joggers and residents are trapped in the police round up and threatened with arrest just for living or walking in the China Town area. Fear mounts as the citzens muse if they will be shot with rubber bullets, tear gassed, arrested or otherwise abused. After 50 mm of rain pours on the expoused citizens of Toronto the police suddenly let them go with no reasons stated for why they held so many people hostage.
Around 10 thousand people took part in the protests against those summits - more than six hundred of them were arrested after rallies turned violent. The demonstators accuse the leaders of the world's largest economies of turning a blind eye to the problems of those who are in need. And many of the protestors say the local security crackdown was a violation of their rights.
